How to revive used potting soil

Potting soil can become a big expense you are growing a large garden, I use it plant seedlings into bigger pots, I use solo cups for the first transplant and then to gallon bags, when you are planting 100+ seedlings that take a large amount of potting soil.

At the end of the growing season I gather up all of my pots and bags and cut off the plant leaving the roots, the roots keep giving nutrition to the soil. I compost the tops and dump the container out onto a tarp with the roots, I try to break up the soil as much as I can, I cover it with another tarp for the winter.

In the late winter I start making my revived potting soil, I screen the old potting soil taking out the old roots and any big chunks, I add 50/50 old potting soil to new soil, I moisten it with compost tea, I add some slow release fertilizer and its good to go.
