Bachelor Buttons are easy-to-grow flowers that readily reseed themselves, often returning year after year in cottage gardens. Their colorful double blooms attract pollinators and make excellent cut or dried flowers. Simply hang the blooms upside down to dry for arrangements, wreaths, and crafts.
The petals are also edible and can be sprinkled on salads or used in teas for a light clove-like flavor and beautiful color. As with any edible flower, those with plant allergies should use caution.
To help control spreading, grow them in containers or deadhead flowers before they go to seed. Perfect for garden borders, wildflower gardens, and patio pots.
